Yodin - Gold saints temple

Hi friends ^^,

Maybe some members have already see the following diorama, but in doubt i'd like to present it to you. It's a temple entry, based on the petra's temple, in jordania, wich is sculpted directly in stone.

When i realised this diorama (one year ago), my idea was to make a place for the gold saints survivors of the sanctuary battle, but instead of the statue that we can see in the anime (Athena Nikè, originally sculpted by Phidias), i wanted to expose the Pallas Athena, exposed in front of the academy art of Athens, with saint seiya face style. Her attitude, combative, was for me perfect for the Gold Saints. The first work was to make this statue.

I used a Pandora's body for the structure. The wears are made with Milliput, and some parts are made with polystyrène:

After this, i used Milliput to realise the wears. To make them; i worked with milliput like a fashio designer: i planed it and put it on the body.

After this i made the roof/ Pegasus is on the front to remember two things:

- First, he was born from medusa's blood, when perseus killed her.
- In Saint Seiya, Saori-Athena and Pegasus-Seiya are inseparables.

Hola yodin,este escenario ya lo habia visto con anterioridad y por mucho que lo vea ,cada vez lo encuentro mejor.
Es una maravilla ,lleno de tal cantidad de detalles que hacen que sea perfecto.Es increible como en las cosas
mas pequeñas y a priori insignificantes ,las modeles de forma milimetrica y tan real.Ya me diras que tipo de pintura utilizas para los trabajos . Felicidades y por aqui estaremos para aprender de tu arte .

The paint i use is originally made for... buildings and home walls. It's called Duluxe Valentine (maybe you have the same in Spain^^). It's more or less the same product as the one you can find in an artist shop.

To obtain the colors you see on this diorama, i first apply a black undercoat. As you surely know, thsi one is the basis of shadows. After this i brushed a self-made color, a mix between grey (for stone) and brown. I clear it with the same color mix to white, and i finish with a very clear mix of white and cold yellow, that is often called antic white.

For the statue the undercoat is once again black, but the first color is "Gun metal" from Tamiya. To obtain the old rusty effect, i used a special Gold called "Versailles Gold".


Ah, there's one thing i forgot: i mix my undercoat with sieved sand:

This very fine dust i obtain gives the diorama is mineral effect.
