Yodin - Marinaland: diorama for mariners - Finished P2

Hi friends ^^,

As i said, i'd like to show you somes of my dioramas. Here i begin with the one i'm working on since two monthes, made for the mariners, which are to my mind ones of the most beautiful figures of the Saint Cloth Myth collection.

I can't traduce all the methods in english, but if someone needs to know more about my techniques, i'll explain it with pleasure.

Here i wanted an antic arch, something very important and imperial, remembering the mythic Babylone. In the french translation of Saint Seiya, Sorrento says to Shun that Poseidon wants to rebuild his empire in the place of the ancient Babylone, and this sentence gave me the idea. As you'll see with the following pictures, i made a mix between Gustave Doré art and the real Ishtar's door.

I hope that photographies will be clear enough to show you my working method, and hope too that you'll like this diorama, that i'll finish during the two following weeks ^^

Your job is incredible, and we are very apreciatte to see it here, in aour comunity.

Is very curious to look that your base is the Ishtar gate of Pergamo's Museum in Berlin. It's a vey incredible construction, and a great reproduction of Babilonia's gates.

For the moment, i spent about 150 hours on this diorama, including the preparation (drawings, mesures etc). The pieces re-used in this diorama are [i]Safari [/i]or [i]Schleich[/i] figures. Honestly i could have realised them myself (as i did for my diorama for Gold Saints), but finally those pieces were already made, so no problem for me using them. I've only modified the dragon's heads which were originally too asiatic to my mind.

I've found somes of the door pieces in... a manucure shop . The another ones come from a haberdashery

The pieces on the front walls are handmade, in fine polystyrene called Depron.

you wont, it was really horrible
anyway i destroyed it many time ago (because it was unestable and brokes) and i think i haven't pics of it
